“La barbe ne fait pas le philosophe” He was overheard foul-mouthing Bainimarama to Fijian Civil Servants and Diplomats after Bainimarama's Heads of Mission speech, so his position became untenable as Permanent Secretary, Foreign Affairs. We will reveal, later, how his alleged aggressive bullying tone towards the French government scuppered French funding for COP presidency. He is accused of running the Fiji Foreign Ministry as his "Arab Fiefdom". The MOFA is one institution where, every day, they have Christian prayer meetings in defiance of the secular state provision in the Constitution. They also have a formal morning tea for the staff, with mountains of cake and sandwiches paid for by the taxpayer. Nowhere else does this happen in the Fiji Civil Service, and Nair failed to rein into this 'feast and prayer' We congratulate the Dubai based SARAH CONRAD who recently tied the knot in the tropical island of Seychelles:

Who Was the Eavesdropper

So who was the eaves dropper that overheard that alleged conversationeach? Are we going back to Stalinist Russia where everybody reported on each other, fact or fiction, to the secret Police. Was that allegation supported by witnesses, who were they? Is Bainimarama so pure and perfect that he is above criticism? Everybody in Fiji and abroad know him to be an uncouth thug whose speeches are written by QOVIS and vetted by Khaiyum, in short a puppet.

Fiji was turned into a Police State after Frank Bainimarama successfully executed his military coup in 2006. Fiji has remained a Police State ever since albeit in a democratic garb following the masquerade of a " democratic " election conducted by the coupist themselves.

i feel sorry for Robin Bair for allowing himself to get entangled in a cesspool at his new job at the Ninistry of Foreign Sffsirs. In the West Ministet tradition that Fiji follows under the separation of powers principle, only the Secretary to Cabinet and Secretary to Foreign Affairs are not permanent secretaries as due to the political nature of the job incumbents can be hired and fired by the Prine Minister. The Fiji Constitution is wrong to make these positions "permanent.

Well i guess major cleanup at MFA is imminent with discrepancies highlighted by Auditor General office and nepotism appointing friends and family to missions to begin with..

Don't bank on it. Discrepancies ( read abuse ) of State funds is a norm in dictatorship pretending to be a democracy. It's been going on since day one of the unlawful takeover of government of Fiji in 2006 by Frank Bainimarama and his lieutenants.

No wonder the French have now announced their own climate summit in early Dec.They have no confidence that the Fijian COP Presidency will be able to coralle the support needed, and know we can't fail the climate. Bai too busy talking in public, not spending any time getting the bigwigs talking in private!
