SECULARISM AND SEPARATION: Bainimarama should practice what he was preaching - if he believes in secularism why was the Fiji Muslim community in Canada entertained separately - why not all together?

The Muslim community in Fiji has played a pivotal role together with other Fijians in the country’s many achievements.

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama made these remarks at a dinner with the British Columbia Muslim Association in Canada yesterday.

Bainimarama highlighted that in Fiji a public holiday is set aside for Prophet Mohammed’s birthday as well as great commemorations for other major religions- Christianity and Hinduism.

He adds that very few countries do this and Fiji is proud to be one of them which underline the unique nature in Fiji.

Bainimarama emphasized that Fiji is a multi-faith nation with a new constitution that guarantees religious freedom and establishes a secular state.

The Prime Minister added many Fijians were alarmed by the provision in the new constitution that makes Fiji a secular state.

Canadian South Indians with links to Fiji paid for airfares, accommodation and per diem.
And yet vuaka meets ethnic communities separately.
Where is your equality that you preach.

Bai says that many people were surprised that this and that were in the constitution.. I say the great majority of Fijians were surprised - because they were never consulted before it was drafted. What stupidity!!

Did anyone of these Canadian South Indians get around to asking the dictator Frank Bainimarama why he has banned Prof Brij Lal one of the most accomplished sons of Fiji from entering the country?
What crime has he or his wife committed?
And, incidentally did these boot licking Canadian Madrasis get around to washing the dictator's feet?

Good question on that one, why separate and not together? Is it that they might be of harm to whatever agenda Frankie and AK-47 had in mind?

Consultation continues to be ignored as usual while Bhaiyum do their own thing out of their interests, and not the people.

Its called divide and rule. Keep the Mullas and the Madarasis in their own little compartments. The puppet has performed well. Applause!

Just learned from a Google post alert that the key man behind Frank Bainimarama's money making excursion to Canada was a former Fiji Sun reporter from the 1980s called Netani Gucake.
Can Fijileaks tell us more about this man who is now some kind of church parasite in Canada...

And why keep Prophet Mohammed's birthday and remove Ratu Sukuna day if you intend to promote secular state?

Ignorance of consultation before drafting decrees just continues to fan up the flames even more at the expense of the people.

Isn't this the same Gucake boy who was charged for rape whilst studying architecture in Canberra in the 80s?
