All the rugby union franchises have been given time until the Fiji Rugby Union’s Annual General Meeting next month to give their views on the proposed structure of the Skipper Cup Competition in 2017.

At the Special General meeting last Saturday, it was put forward to all the unions that the bottom four teams from the Skipper Cup competition will be relegated with the top four teams from the B Division gaining promotion.

FRU Acting CEO Dr.Berlin Kafoa says although majority unions are in support of the idea, they have time till next month to discuss it among their members.

“Most of the unions supported the change in the meeting but I think it’s only fair for them to take back and discuss with their unions before they come to the Annual General meeting.”

Meanwhile, the FRU office will close from today for the festive season and reopen on the 2nd of next month. Source: FBC News

What a stifling, suffocating political environment it must be for freedom of expression when a 22 y o law student and former soldier gets thrown into an infamous jail where political prisoners are held for posting on Facebook the image of Egypt's president wearing Mickey Mouse ears?
That's what an Egyptian military court decided ( ' Student Amr Nohan jailed for three years over Mickey Mouse meme of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ' Sydney morning herald 22/12 ).
I know political leaders elsewhere who would love to impose a similar regime on its people.
They want the people to regard them as gods who cannot be questioned, criticised or poked fun at.
Thankfully in western democracies with all its flaws the people feel free to openly call their leaders arseholes without fear of being thrown in jail.

Its so sad to see our own Berlin Kafoa get sucked into Ian Rouse's scheming. If Ian were strict, Berlin would have never started with the abuse. Ian Rouse willfully trapped Berlin, so that no one would raise fingers when Ian abused. This is typical modus operandi of crooks. But I understand that the rot is deeper. Ian only took over the Project from someone very influential and powerful. A bone and joints consultant who says his word is God's word.

Dont know whats happening here. She probably wants to tambe tambe Reddy. She invited the AG to the prize award ceremony you see. It was nauseating to watch her singing praises of AG in the school event. Wonder what the AG is doing trying to grab attention into school and education system. The AG and this idiot of a head teacher kept students till midnight.

I suggest you copy World Rugby CEO and Oceania Boss Will Glennwright your correspondence on Kafoa. Having Kafoa on FRU is a major liability and will affect their attempt to qualify governance-wise to qualify for a seat on the WR Council. Rugby House is attracting crooks, thieves and murderers.
