Isa, is this the so-called "New Agriculture Scam" - why cant Luveni and others be locked up with Suncourt's Bhika. I wonder if that is why Aiyaz Khaiyum, the self-appointed Minister for Eduaction has gone to India - to bring back those 300 machines
This particular Minister is very very sad. As a former UN staff, she has either brought or has gate crashed just about every initiative that the UN has brought into the Pacific as part of its Projects. For example, recently the UN brought the Barefoot College concept into Fiji, Ms Jiko herself, races ahead and pays a visit to India and hijacks the initiative whilst the UN pays all the costs. She takes on the credit and fails to mention the project was funded by the UN....then she promises a school to be built for the solar women engineers in this project ...since 2012 when she made that promise along with Bainimarama, there is still no school. Lately she took over the shelters being built by the UN for women market vendors....when the UN built in Ba and in Rakiraki, she came in, stole the concept and now wants to spread that project. Whilst the UN has never sacked lamented her doings and whilst they usually want host countries to take on the projects ultimately because of ownership and sustainability, its sad though to note that such a person like Jiko cannot come up with her own initiatives.....These people are what we call intellectual property thief's. They come and borrow ideas and take it on as their own. Meanwhile all the sewing machines you distributed Jiko are not performing as you assured. Many in the islands are still waiting for parts that you keep promising are coming. They have broken down and when we project people travel to these islands, the poor women are crying foul. Remember, you are not fooling people. They note and know who is truly doing the job.....who brought those initiatives to them...who came up with it. Not you certainly and your silly government.
