To be expected. All manner of desperation and intimidation are the new normal under the illegal & treasonous regime especially when they have everything to lose in these elections.

If this incident is true, the regime has just lost itself these votes (and some), as this saga embeds itself via the coconut wireless.

This is where that racist Ratu Timoci Vesikula is WRONG! Like Fijians of different hue and colour, we Indo-Fijians are not one and the same!

He claims that he and other Fijians have lived with others for a long time but llike water and kerosene we will never mix.

Those supporting Bainimarama are rich Gujerati, Punjabi and other late-comers to Fiji, so he should stop lumping all of us together.

We are poor, landless, penniless and have no where to fall back on - atleast the Fijians have their lands etc!

I might now vote for Bainimarama - why waste my vote for other parties!

I will Inform you today Sir/Madam that Ratu Timoci Vesikula is No Racist and that this Allegation is Completely False and that you Take Back and Apologize for making such a Bold and Very Offensive Statement. You should think that Ratu Timoci was speaking on behalf of his Vanua which they (the Chiefs and their people) have been meeting and discussing for Months prior to that visit by the Hon.Prime Minister. Ratu Timoci in all his Life is Well Recognized for his Intelligence and his Ability to Speak the Truth and Talk Straight, amongst other Qualities. And as a High Chief,it was his Obligation to relay the Message on to the Hon.Prime Minister and to the Rest of Fiji the things that his Vanua had come up with, their Veiws and Ideas.
The Next thing You should take into account is Not to let your Personal Problem become Evident. The reason behind this is because you seriously have an issue with the 'Caste System' that Exists back in India and for some Instances, here in the Indo-Fijian Society.Thats your Problem and not ours.Show some Respect for At least in the Eyes of All Fijians(Itaukei),we see all Indo-Fijians as All Equals regardless of whatever You may think.Even us (itaukei) are born into Categories which is called 'Nomu Tutu Vakavanua' but we don't complain. We are Proud and we perform our duties to the best no questions asked and still live free.
To make things Worse, here we are in Fiji,Quarreling,Debating and Wasting our Breath on the issue of our National Identity within our own Society. We as a Country have more Important Issues to Discuss, and this shouldn't even be out there.Reason why is e.g because if you ask a Black Man who calls himself an American why he calls himself that despite being 'Black',then he will tell you that even though despite Being Black and Being Born in America, there is a term that they use which is called 'Afro-American' and that He is Proud to belong to that Race of Americans because of their Powerful and Moving Influence in American History. But faces Challenges from time to time depending on whatever Situations and it does't mean that He is Not American At All but Be Proud that being Named in that Society of America to be Distinguished as a Strong and Unique Culture is An Honor and a Privilege. Just 'Being Born' in Fiji is not Enough to be Known as a 'Fijian' but it is just enough to be 'Called' A Fijian. If you look at this Issue from an International Perspective, when you tell A Palagi (who has some knowledge of Fiji) you're a Fijian, they'll tell you that you don't look like a Fijian and I wonder what will be your response be.Since the Beginning of Fiji's known Existence to the world, 'Fijians' were the names given to the Natives of the Land. But Nowadays being born and Live in Fiji is just enough to allow you to be called a Fijian, which would have been an Insult (still is now) to our Forefathers from that time.'Itaukei' translated directly means 'The Owner' in this case 'The Land Owners' and that's not Fair.We are more then just 'Land Owners' and to be issued this Name by this Govewrnment is really Ridiculous and Insulting. Ratu Timoci is Right when he stated that just like Water and Kerosene we will never mix because we have our own Cultures. He was talking from Experiences that not only He experienced but most other Native Fijians have gone through.'A Tiger Cannot Change His Stripes' and thats that.We can Mingle BUT we can Never Mix because of our Cultural Obligations. There will forever be that Invincible wall that allows us everyday to be Separated or Distinguished from One Another.and that we should Accept that.
By the way, Ratu Timoci Vesikula and the Vanua ko Tailevu is Supporting the Bainimarama Government......Vinaka.

Come on garment worker. Stick to your job description and leave the chiefs alone. Do some research on your history and let us know. When the Chief of Ratu Vesikula from Verata speaks, we take it as an advice. Even Ratu Bainimarama did not make a comment, because he knows that.so what's your business? The two chiefs name has great meanings and history that you don't even know of. So...stop poking your nose on the i-taukei and Get back to your machine.Start sewing for your living. These two have their people, land and wealth. Oilei da via lua vi iko.!!! Whichever party wins, the Constitution is there to be their guiding principles. So,get educated You!!. Stop sewing now, READ MADA YOUR CONSTITUTION.

@ Garment Worker - if you are truly a garment worker then I am Mahatma Ghandi. Try not sounding like a regime goon next time if you want us to believe your drivel.
