The preparation for 2018 election has begun - remember Aiyaz Khaiyum's D'Hondt Electoral System requires party leader to poll the highest number of votes and Bainimarama's political ducklings, even with 500 votes, will all end up as FijiFirst Party MPs in Parliament and as Cabinet Ministers. Rebellious MPs and Cabinet Ministers can be dumped, and those candidates who lost out, called up to replace them - for there is no by-election provision. There is no room for dissent in the dictatorship! GROUNDED: Even Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum was no where to be seen!

Yes I was right. Bainimarama is not to be trusted with cyclone donation money because he will use it for election campaigning, promoting himself as the Dear Leader who feels for the plight of his people. The only thing that drives the coupist is doing whatever it takes by hook and crook to maintain his hold on power.

It is never the time for " negativity" for the gang in power and their sapotas. Yours is a furtile attempt to silence criticism.

The PM has drawn on military counter insurgency strategy to color code on a map areas that are "bainimarama friendly" and those that are "enemy territory" for him and his FFP Party. He will use financial resources donated to the response effort to prosecute a *hearts and mind* campaign for his re-election under his D'Hondt electoral system. That's why I am donating money not to the NDMO where it will be used for Bai's chopper meet and greet program but I will be giving to different NGOs

Obviously you are the only 'learned' one here. I am asking for the evidence to enable me to make up my own mind about the conclusions you are drawing.

Vili, what about taking advantage of vulnerable people at a time of crisis to push a pro - ruling party political agenda? Is that an acceptable and ethical way for the " government in power " to proceed?

If we accept as true what this fellow Pita is saying about the Government 'colour-coding' areas that are friendly (to which priority of relief supplies are directed) and black areas that are deemed 'enemy territory' (which are relegated in the relief queue) then it is clear from the PM's visits and government priorities that the 'friendly' areas are (1) Koro (2) Rakiraki, especially Balata and Drauniivi (3) Tailevu North (the PM visited Qelekuro recently) and of the Northern Division where the French are landing supplies in Taveuni and elsewhere.

Rosie's well meaning intentions notwithstanding, she is not superwoman and should stop trying to behave like one. What she needs is a strategy to get the squatters out of Wailea on do and for all into proper housing. That requires planning, throughout, strategies, etc to get government and private sector provide the funds. It's hard work but more effective than trying to do everything alone superwoman style.

Pita, has former PM Qarase who complained that his $600,000 compensation was too little, given anything to Vanua Balavu on the same scale that the Rosa family has and who you say are hardworking, honest types which I have no doubt they are?

And give me one good reason why Vanua Balavu (population ?) should take priority over other areas who are more productive per head of population in terms of the national economy? Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
