Fijileaks: It is the D'Hondt Election System which has sent these Indo-Fijians into Parliament, many with not even one thousand votes behind them The D'Hondt is both a SHIELD and a SWORD: It is a shield which ensures that whichever party wins will remain the majority party in Parliament until the next election (for no by-elections) and a SWORD to cut down any MP who dares to rebel against the party in Parliament - all the party has to do is KICK out the MP and replace him or her with the LOSER in-waiting. TAKE for example, the following scenario: suppose Mahendra Reddy and the swindler, coupist, and racist Inoke Kubuabola are jailed before the next election, FFP's majority in Parliament will remain the same as after the 2014 election - for the losing FFP candidates will be plucked from obscurity into Parliament. And if FFP LOSES the election, Viliame Naupoto, the former FFP candidate, MP, and now back as army commander will step in and overthrow the new incoming Government - yes, a distinct possibility!

And who personally selected them to be candidates and certainly not through a democratic process. There is no democracy in FFP and indeed no process at all in FFP nor in FFP caucus nor in FFP Government. All his choices in all his personal appointments, including in statutory bodies and constitutional positions have been utter failures but the boss man has a thick skin and arrogance. He owns Fiji. His pseudo boss, the so-called boss of the boss man, the yes man never makes the boss accountable for his string of failed personal appointments. Where is the once favored CEO of FSC? Tax payers are the victims. They sit on the sidelines watching.

Yes, indeed. He has a Parliament and the Cabinet but he believes he is accountable to nobody. He is the Parliament and he is the Cabinet.Yet he thinks Fijians are fool enough to believe him that they live in a democracy. He has the apparatus and the government's machinery at his finger tips to intimidate, hire and fire, cause havoc, humiliate and embarass individuals without regard to law or decency. He does not want see any rivals. Ask Doc Reddy. He only wants timid people around him, people who are beholden to him for their selection or appointment or other privileges dished out by him and who have been made compliant and fear to hell if they ask questions. He has even FB under his stucky thumb.This is what our Fiji has been reduced to by one man.He might believe like some dictators in Africa that he is immortal but his judgment day will be on earth, like all brutal dictators in History. The Indo-Fijian members of FFP members of Parliament are little boys and girls of no significance put there by HIM to call Hail to the dictator, whenever in sight. He loves flattery and so is given flattery.

I strongly agree with you Maraia. They are indeed like school boys. But not secondary schools but primary or infant school. They say what they being told, their speeches are vetted by the master. They cheer their master whenever he is making a mockery of the oppositions etc..

on election rigging, I was only aware last week that the a former high school colleague leading the team that were picking up the ballot boxes at a school in Lautoka was an employee of Fiji First and not the elections office. Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
