"Revelations from Lomanikoro, Rewa confirms that the Leader of the Opposition wants to make Adi Koila Mara Nailatikau to be Party Leader and be the Prime Minister in 2018. Adi Koila Mara Nailatikau has shown support for the SODELPA dinner fundraising by giving a discount to SODELPA for the hire of the hall at Studio Six and the discounted amount was said to be her contribution, a sum of $900. If this is the ultimate plan to make Adi Koila Mara Nailatikau, Prime Minister than the Leader of the Opposition wants her niece to nominate her to be President of Fiji. The Leader of the Opposition’s inner circle, Whip-Ratu Isoa Tikoca (MP), Laufitu Malani and Mick Beddoes are all known opportunists and with the sponsorship of Adi Koila Mara Nailatikau these individuals just want to use SODELPA to paddle their political ambitions however, they truly do not have any conviction for the indigenous cause."

Fijileaks: We are waiting for a comment from the President's Office
The Leader of the Opposition and her personal advisor, Laufitu Malani has been plotting against the Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu (MP) because he is seen to be a threat to their administration. They have used Viliame Gavoka (MP) to communicate to the AG."
"It is unfortunate to state that the appointment of Richard Naidu as the Opposition’s nominee was the decision of the Leader of the Opposition alone and did not reflect any consensus with the caucus or the party. She pushed her way through to get her choice despite members of the caucus suggesting other nominees...In the recent resignation and the appointment of the new RFMF Commander, the Opposition Office acted without the direction, knowledge and permission of the party by publically saying in the media that the acting appointment of Viliame Naupoto as new Commander was ‘in order’ because it was procedurally agreed at the Constitution Commission. The Leader of the Opposition and her nominee Richard Naidu made a blanket undertaking that the Chairperson is allowed to make interim three months appointments. The President [Ratu Naiqama] had expressed his disappointment and questioned the Leader of the Opposition in a written letter on 3 August 2015 on the validity of the position of the Opposition Office taken especially one done without his understanding, without consultation as to the position of the party."
"Without the consultation of the caucus and the management board of the party she announced that the leader of the National Federation Party [Biman Prasad] is the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee. The Leader of the Opposition gave away a key position of every opposition majority party that will give the National Federation Party (NFP) mileage for the 2018 elections. The conspiracy was later revealed to be created by Laufitu Malani and Eci Kikau of the NFP. This is a serious breach of the party constitution." |
"After the decree for the allocation of $15,000 per Member of Parliament was gazetted, the Leader of the Opposition with Laufitu Malani and Mick Beddoes intercepted the letter by the Secretary-General of Parliament addressed to the General-Secretary of the Party, Pio Tabaiwalu. Laufitu Malani and Mick Beddoes than advised the Leader of the Opposition with the Whip - Ratu Isoa Tikoca (MP) to instruct the Secretary-General of Parliament that a government cheque (grant) of $225,000 be written to SODELPA Opposition Office. A minute of a meeting was done without a caucus meeting and signatories were appointed without the knowledge of the rest of the caucus to open a bank account at ANZ Bank...The 10 Staffs at the Opposition Office are paid salaries ranging from $45,000 to $9,000. Mick Beddoes sits at a salary of $45,000 and Laufitu Malani who was said to be a volunteer is earning a salary of $36,000. All these appointments, salary scales and job description was made without the consultation of the caucus and the party...It is no doubt that the Leader of the Opposition intentionally undermines the party and the caucus by making her own decisions from the advice of her inner circle which includes Opposition Whip-Ratu Isoa Tikoca (MP), Laufitu Malani and Mick Beddoes..."
"The Leader of the Opposition and her personal advisor, Laufitu Malani has been plotting against the Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu (MP) because he is seen to be a threat to their administration. They have used Viliame Gavoka (MP) to communicate to the AG. After Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu (MP) was suspended the opposition caucus agreed to boycott the next day’s sitting, the Leader of the Opposition insisted that she alone to attend the meeting. The caucus was able to overcome her insistence that she wanted to be seen as working with government and not opposing them all the time like previous boycotts and walkouts. Later, information from the government members of parliament confirmed they were briefed on the developments at the Opposition Conference Room through text messages sent from the Leader of the Opposition to the Attorney-General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum. She had been playing a mole role seeking assistance from the government motion to suspend considering the Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu (MP) is a threat to her leadership, especially his presence in debates always shows that Tui Cakau is well informed in matters before the floor...At the party AGM in Suva two weeks later, Laufitu Malani and the Leader of the Opposition lobbied with the Nasinu Constituency to nominate Anare Jale to run for President with intentions to defeat Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu (MP) on the floor...It is interesting why the Leader of the Opposition is so close to Laufitu Malani given that she was a Minister in Bainiamarama’s illegal government and Mick Beddoes who was also a member of the People’s Charter for Change and Progress working committee that engineered the mainstreaming on indigenous Fijians by abolishing the Great Council of Chiefs."
On the other hand, Whip-Ratu Isoa Tikoca (MP) a fall out from Bainimarama’s administration being Ambassador to PNG and the master mind of the iTaukei Foundation established at the Bosevanua in Bau to sign a memorandum with the government under the United Nations Declaration for the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) with intention to undermine the Yanuca Resolutions. The Yanuca letter was endorsed by the Vitivou Forum Inc. and the Fiji Native Tribe Congress to prove to the ILO Convention 169 Committee of Experts that the argument by the Bainimarama government that majority of indigenous Fijians had accepted the reforms directed to remove their group rights through the adoption of the People’s Charter is not true, indigenous peoples were not consulted of the imposed changes. Both indigenous groups are co-chaired by the Leader of the Opposition and Tui Cakau, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu (MP) with many heads of chiefly domes in Kubuna, Burebasaga and Tovata Confederacies. Opposition Whip-Ratu Isoa Tikoca (MP) after he was sacked and his passport held until he fully settled the money he used for his son’s tuition fees who was studying in Australia, presented his iTaukei Foundation concept to negotiate on behalf of Tailevu province to the Government, but failed to convince Bainimarama. He brought his concept to SODELPA and was allowed to present it the party headquarters trying to convince the party with Bainimarama’s abusive emails. It was only in January, 2014 that Ratu Isoa Tikoca (MP) entered the SODELPA movement - Reclaiming Fiji. How can these individuals be trusted and given very key decision making positions at the Opposition Office? -
