This case again highlights the fact that there is a sharp rise in misconduct of local lawyers who lack not only professional ethics, but high morals and values required of the legal profession.

There was a time when the legal profession in Fiji was a noble profession and that was largely the public perception of lawyers and magistrates and judges and even court clerks. It was then an exception to come across a crooked unscrupulous lawyer or court wallah.

Is it any Wonder, a failed Military man and a near bankrupt lying Lawyer are now at the helm of the nation.

Fiji Times editorial 3 May " where is the love" : tells us about the plight of a mother and 3 young daughters huddled together on ah street pavement on a cold night. Is this the new and better Fiji that was promised by the coupist Frank Bainimarama when he unlawfully took over the country, trashed the constitution and publicly declared that no military personnel will benefit from his coup.
