Fijileaks, which had taken up the Gokals' case, found that RENEE LAL was [and reportedly still is] allowed to ply her trade because the watchdog Legal Practitioners Unit was too slow to act on the Gokals and Fijileaks combined evidence given to LPU; the matter was called on 16 November before the Independent Legal Services Commission (ILSC) and the case has now been adjourned to 27 January 2016 for mention.

Does Fiji actually have an Independent legal services commision? I thought Fiji stopped having independent anything since Bainimarama's unlawful takeover in 2006 and the systematic cynical manipulation of every institution to do the bidding of the coupist- dictator- now prime minister Bainimarama. Does any one need me to name institutions that have ceased to function independently?
If you have been following the revelations made by Fijileaks all these years you will know these institutions by name and their shame!

ILC was established to take revenge with lawyers who in some time in life annoyed Kai, Sharvada Sharma n some other legal eagles who shined after 2006 takeover.
ILC acts on instructions from Mohd Saneem.
There are 100s of complaints sleeping in that air condition office at 5th floor Civic Tower but only the chosen ones are prosecuted

With regard to Newton Lee's message that " Journalists should be watchdogs, not lapdogs " I have this piece to share with folks on Fijileaks .
We learn from International Business Times 28 Nov that Dawit Kabede, the managing editor of one of Ethiopia's few remaining independent Amharic language newspapers publishing critical analysis of local politics said he left the country last week for fear of arrest, a US based press freedom group said. Dawit of Awramba Times spent two years behind bars until 2007 over treason charges, alongside dozens of opposition officials who were rounded up following disputed polls in 2005.
The Ethiopian government's persecution of those seeking to report the news and raise critical questions about issues of public interest has driven the largest number of journalists in the world into exile, Mohamed Keita, Africa Advocacy Coordinator for CPJ said in a statement ( read full article ' Ethiopian journalists worry after editor flees ' for fuller details ).
Rogue regimes always persecute THOSE SEEKING TO REPORT NEWS AND RAISE CRITICAL QUESTIONS ABOUT ISSUES OF PUBLIC INTEREST as the Fijileaks and other alternative Fiji media do.
This letter is in solidarity with all the Fiji journalists who continue to act as public watchdogs.

FIFA Ethics Committee has woken up from its slumber and has begun to do what it was set up to do - sanction professional misconduct and bad behaviour that brings FIFA into disrepute. Now it wants to ban UEFA chief Michel Platini for life for his alleged crooked dealings. That is as should be. When will some of our mob wake up from their slumber and do what they are meant to do by law!

You must be dreaming Mr Naidoo - these thugs don't have
the balls to wake up and do the lawful thing - simply because they
don't have the conscious, humility, humanity, compassion, fear of God...... this list can be a never ending saga.

The case of Bala is the clearest example that they don't even care about human life, let alone human rights, rule of law and other
lofty ideals that bai kai have put in their fraudulent constitution to
dupe entire Fiji and the international community.
