THE NFP DID NOT LIE (UNLIKE KHAIYUM) AND THE ACCOUNT MET BASIC ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING STANDARDS - THE FACT THAT ACCOUNTING FIRM WAS NOT REGISTERED IS NOT NFP'S FAULT!

Fijileaks:

* In our view this is a minor offence and probably has more to do with professional jealousies amongst accountants

* We wonder whether some accountants in SODELPA were behind NFP leader Biman Prasad's suspension - given their overtly racist crusade to strip him as chair of Public Accounts Committee?

* The question to ask is whether the audit was carried out in a manner that met basic accounting and auditing standards;

* Whether all the material disclosures regarding the Party’s accounts have been properly disclosed/

* Whether the accounts met IFRS and GAAP standards?

* The fact that the accounting firm was not registered is not NFP’s fault. It is the firm’s responsibility to present themselves to potential customers as being fit and proper to undertake the audit, and fit and proper includes being registered under the required laws in Fiji

* How many institutions ask auditing firms if they are licensed to operate in Fiji before they engaged them?

ONE DECREE FOR FFP AND ANOTHER DECREE FOR NFP AND OTHERS:

"I have last night (Wednesday) submitted the withdrawal of my name as the vice-president of the proposed Fiji First Party to the proposed leader and to the proposed general secretary...I have done so because when I accepted the position, I did not disclose the fact that over 30 years ago, I was convicted on a criminal charge and served a prison term. I did not disclose this information because of the fact that it was over 30 years ago and that under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Irrelevant Convictions Act 1997, records after 10 years are expunged. Bijai Prasad, the then proposed Vice-President of FFP, in a press conference in Nadi, 8 May 2014, which was also attended by the "Attorney-General, Minister for Elections" and proposed FFP general secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum

Meanwhile, WHERE WAS THE FIJI INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTANTS WHEN ALL REGIME ACCOUNTING JOBS WENT TO ONLY ONE ACCOUNTANT - KHAYIUM'S AUNTY NUR BANO ALI - AND WHERE WAS FIA FOR THE LAST EIGHT YEARS WHEN KHAIYUM WAS HIDING THE DAMNING A-G'S REPORTS!

And what about this ACCOUNTANT who is yet to be brought to TRIAL?

Let us not forget Frank Bainimarama who used conman PETER FOSTER to gather "evidence of corruption" against SDL before the 2006 coup!

SHORT MEMORY:
Remember Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum had selected this man - Bijai Prasad - as a Vice-President of the then proposed FijiFirstParty - he had criminal conviction; when Fijileaks exposed Prasad's past criminal conviction both Khaiyum and Saneem tried to fob it off but in the end Prasad was forced to resign; NFP can't be held responsible for the status of the accountancy firm if FIA, FRCA, Saneem, and other bodies never bothered to inspect if it was registered with FIA under Khaiyum's decree!

From Fijileaks Archive, 2014:

I am wondering, right now, instead of overly worrying, if NFP remedy's such a breach, that is to say, get their accounts since 2014 audited by an FIA certified auditor, will that end farce then?

That would be too easy. It would lack the 'Hoof'! Hoof! Drama -the hallmark of this Chor Party Government.

This is the little cousin's chance to huff and puff his ego, throw around his weight and blow the piglets out of their old straw house. He is not a Puppet - the mighty Saneen can ban the oldest political party of Fiji out of existence for straight sixty days. That's Power - and dictators' (minions though they be) like to swag it every now and then.

Where was Fiji Institute of Accountants gang for the last eight years when Khaiyum was hiding the damning Auditor Generals reports?
They were inviting Khaiyum to be chief guest and keynote speaker and all that at their annual talk fest!

Fijileaks Bijai Story - How this veteran con was presented as the vice president of Bainimarama's Chor Party and how he was later un-presented - is an 'award worthy' Story - with 'sharp, sharp revelations - facts, figures, dates and how such revelations brought about actual visual changes to the vice-presidency of Bainimarama's Chor Party.

Excellent cutting edge reporting like your 'Fiji First' name Chori Story - which in many sense were also 'exclusive' to Fijileaks.

Awesome bro Victor and the Fijileaks Team !!

What is also so glaringly obvious - is the apparent “glee” in the Fiji Sun's reporting of the NFP's present and a very sad dilemma of finding itself denied to participate in our new found democracy – which is so, so contrary to the fundamental philosophical pillars of democracy.

To the intelligent, it is a clear case of victimization of NFP representatives, at the hands of the regime lackey, SOE Saneen. Instead of looking for the truth -a sinister or an ulterior (or even an innocent) motive behind Saneen’s this, a very surprising move - the Fiji Sun is predicting an eminent demise of NFP.

The Fiji Sun has at last accorded the NFP the front page but all for the wrong reasons. Dear Mr. Delaibatiki, your ‘masi polo’ style is becoming a bit embarrassing, Sir.

Mr Delaibatiki is no " Sir" . He is a shameless regime Sucker pretending to be an objective, impartial journalist. The man is anything but!

The ‘act’(s) of Parliament are drafted (or should be) with some level-headed civility of language conveying in the simplest of manner not only the essence but also the spirit of the Law. These Laws are upheld (or should be) by the citizens with some pride, for lawyers to use with creative ingenuity and for learned judges to interpret and develop flowery legal dictums which persists in the minds of the citizenry as legal legacies. For example; ‘no man or his monkey can abrogate the 1997 Constitution’ so said Justice Gates in the famous Chandrika Prasad case.

The decree(s) on the other hand are instruments of disgrace and as in this instant, the Political Parties Registration Blah Blah (the decree), we can clearly see why. It has been conceived by the evilest of the mind for the evilest of the purpose – to gain, retain and abuse Power.

The abuse of Power part is what we experienced with our name Chori and what we are now seeing with NFP’s present predicament.

The language of this decree is just punitive, punitive and more punitive and deplorably, deplorably Dictatorial and it reads like rotten.

Editor,
Change in Leadership : Only a superficial change.
In her letter " Double standards" ( Canberra Times 3/02) Annie Lang writes she heard Peter Dutton say twice in one day that Australia does not welcome people who disrespect women. This is she says the same Peter Dutton ( Immgration minister in the Turnbull government) who send a text message to a ministerial mate describing a critical female journalist ( one doing her job honestly) as a " mad fuckng bitch".
Annie states : Some people seem to think (wrongly) that the demise of Abbot and the elevation of Turnbull as PM signified an actual change of government. Nothing could be further from the truth, apparently.
I couldn't agree more.
Change in leadership does not necessarily mean a change in the rotten political culture that characterises today's politics and governance.
Which again kind of reminds me to ask so what " paradigm change" has actually happened since the Bainimarama takeover?
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

No paradigm change happened, yaar. Only the players changed . And the players in the current ruling political team are what Indian country folks call " randi kilaris " / dirty players. And with these dirty players it is mostly business as usual with all that that entails...

Kaiyum and bainimarama farted about nepotism, racism etc about FLP & SODELPA. In the new Fiji of ff party, Kaiyum trusts only Muslims so appoints Muslims in all ministries he controls. Even at MOF, he had appointed one intiaz shah to be his executive officer. Did the same in public enterprises, ag's office, fbc etc. all families and non-family Muslims takes precedence over merit etc in ministries under his command. His two Hindu ball polishers of Bala and reddy also appoint Muslims to please the master. Bainimaramas family has been given lead roles in government jobs. Bainimarama talks about violence against women but his son has been assulting hosannah kabakoro. These two faced evil bastards are ruining the future of Fiji. NFP was the only shining armour but their suspension makes it all clear that Kaiyum lies to keep his abuses unchecked. SODELPA should solve their internal problems and for once become more that a laughing stock. They need to start getting counted and attack policies with vigour. SODELPAs too much mingling on racial ground is not getting them anywhere. They need to buckle up and attack issues. Otherwise, they will have no chance of survival with their deterioting voter base.

SODELPA this is your time to regroup and attack with vigour the criminal activities of the Fiji First party. Divine intervention, you've just got it handed to you with this injustice to the NFP. O koya na Marama, stand up for your political partner the NFP and you both get to win the next Election outright; with the Labour Party joining. Enough of this monkey business; we're all becoming ridiculous as a Nation and Fiji First must be kicked out fast!!

Too bad FFP is infamous for coming up with bogus decrees for others to follow -- but not them.

I am sure the Accountants in Sodelpa would not stoop to the level of assisting FFP in this latest NFP saga! After all the same victimisation has been encountered by these Accountants in Sodelpa by FIA where they have knocled for the last 10 years for a practising certificate in Fiji but denied because of some minor technicalities. Come on guys stop imagining things!
