THE RFMF HAS BEEN TURNED INTO A REVOLVING DOOR FOR ITS SENIOR OFFICERS: These thugs are allowed to resign and pursue alternative careers and when they fail, they just go back to the RFMF!

Editor,

It would be good to make a list of all those high ranking officers of the RFMF who have either resigned or were asked to resign or were charged and imprisoned. We note that many of these officer's also took career moves into the government's public service, initially on secondment, but later resigning from RFMF. I am interested in the history and dynamics of the RFMF ranks since 2001.

This avalanche of departure of high ranked soldiers from the RFMF all started around 2003 (?? Please correct me) when problems between Qarase and Bainimarama started. As such, we now see a RFMF which has got persons who were "quickly" promoted to fill in the gaps.

I now request readers to submit a list on this forum (a crowd sourced list). If you know the reason for departure, please put it down beside the person's name.

e.g.
1.) Capt. Jack Sparrow - left to pursue the "Dead Man's Chest" after the sinking of his ship "The Black Pearl".
2.)

And the Thug in Chief Frank Bainimarama told the people of Fiji that no military thug will benefit from his coup. They have been benefiting left, right and centre from day one of the coup to date !!
What a lying, shameless , self- serving lot!

What a democratic farce Fiji is going through.
1. With Fiji First Party policy to promote democracy the first fews signs it is not:
a. They have promoted secularism where the State is separated from the Church because of corruption but the Army has replaced the Church. This is symptomatic in Europe, Africa and Asia from where the poor, migrants and people trafficking eye developed countries in Europe e.g. France, Germany, Italy etc, North America, Australia and NZ for safety and security.
The Army and their warfare is big business that drives all the greed for power, money and status.
b. There are 5 arms of Constitutional Democracy: 1, Parliamentary Government with Separation of powers between the 2, Legislature; the 3, Executive and the 4, Judiciary; 5, the Independent Media & 6th are Non Government Organizations (NGO).
c. Enter Qoila Costello Olsen who represents a top NGO in Fiji, The Pacific Centre for Peace Building, based at Nasese, opposite the China Club. Based on her actions, instead of building Peace she has created war with Tikoitonga’s wife, family, local community and society at large. What a joke.
d. NGOs should review their philosophy if they end up employing characters like Qoila Costello Olsen who is more interested in the power of the Gun and uniform and in turn, violate the NGO chore values as the 6th arm for Institutional Democracy, when she CHOSE to have an affair with a corrupt Army Officer for the coup on December 5th, 2006.
e. The Bible is true we are all sinners and the Army continues to spread its corrupt power of Guns and warfare to replace the Church’s position alongside the State in most war torn countries in Africa (Nigeria, Libya, Zimbabwe) Middle East (Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Syria, SE Asia (Myanmar, Indonesia), Europe (Georgia, Ukraine etc). Indeed, big business calls the tune to the detriment of the public at large. This cause is being dressed up using symptoms to lull people’s sense of “right over wrong and good over evil”. For example focusing on climate change rather than global warning and the big business that drive the greed for power, money and status.
f. Today at Global, regional and local levels, people trafficking, migrants from war torn countries, rise in poverty and unemployment, with the impact of these on the need for basic housing, water, clothing, food security, education and health are leading to more corruption and social disorder as we see in Fiji, highlighted by the Tikoitonga Costello Affair.
g. In Fiji, Democratic institutions have been replaced by Centralized Elitist Dictatorship, which is promoting secularism for its own power base to ensure the “Sun to sets on Western democracy”.
