Clarke is the son of former Australian ambassador to Fiji. He is also past President and Chairman of the Fiji - Australia Business Council.

Munro Leys and Cromptons are two other firms which are up to their eyeballs in similar activity. Theirs involves offshore companies set up in Tax Havens and holding shares in companies which in turn hold land in Fiji. They use the offshore shares in the tax havens to launder funds which do not come onshore to Fiji.
