THE TWO-FACED LAWMAKER ON THE MARCH: Now, Aiyaz Khaiyum is demanding that Fiji Times release recordings of what Sudhakar said on Civil Service Jobs! What about 'Mortein' threats against 'cockroaches'?

He hid his family's MIDLIFE INVESTMENTS LTD file (ordered ROC to hide it) from Fijileaks for several months but is NOW ordering the Fiji Times to release the recordings of what his pet Masoor Goonda Boy ASHNEEL SUDHAKAR said (or not said) in the interview on the question of Civil Service jobs. He had also refused to take any action against the  MASOOR GOONDA when Fijileaks founding editor-in-chief VICTOR LAL had lodged an official complaint to him as FFP general secretary, calling upon him to sack Sudhakar after his GOONDA BOY had threatened to 'mortein' Victor Lal and other "cockroaches". He also blocked the Fijian Police from taking any legal action against Ba businessman Jay Dayal and Goonda Sudhakar over the FACEBOOK postings that had called for the cold-blooded murder of Victor Lal, whether on the streets of Oxford or in London. But look at Fiji's Idi Amin Dada threatening the Fiji Times, AGAIN:

Let him go to the court to get the recording. But I doubt if FT will have the guts to resist his demands. This is the time when FT can make a stand for press freedom. But if it has truly stated something which the cockroach didnt say, then it would be most regrettable.

Well if Fiji Times has the records that they need nothing to worry about. The ultimate question is will Khaiyum fire Ashneel Mortein Sudhakar if records possessed by Fiji Times is true or will Khaiyum resign from his position. If khaiyum cant do either then khaiyum asking for records is unjustified. The citizens of Fiji knows very well who compulsive liar is?

FT and FS are pathetic examples of news media. Both are known to copy paste than investigate and produce news. Netani Rika fucked up FT's credibility. Now nemani delaibatiki doing same to Fiji sun. They are more troublemakers than problem solvers. FT instigated the 2000 coup, FS instigated the 2006 coup. Shut both these shit down for good.

Who can forget two people: Mesake Koroi and Netani Rika. Koroi gave the rope to the racists from Kaunikila to freely criticise Mahen Chaudhry on a weekly basis using thinly veiled racist lenses. Rika even had a dedicated space in his column to Chaudhry's failings called "On the Bright Side". It's amazing how some are now wringing their hands in despair and frothing at the lips now that the shoe is on the other foot.

Khaiyum and Sudhakar are a disgrace to Fiji, and both ought to be re-educated about the basic values of respect, honesty, humility and the principles justice and righteousness.

Editor,
Dismantling Democracy
Editor's Pick in the latest issue of The Intercept is Glenn Greenwald's
' How Elites Destroyed Brazil's Democracy' ( May 14 ). He writes " They are literally dismantling - crushing - democracy in the world's fifth largest country".
Imagine just how much easier it would be for the same of ELITES to dismantle democracy is a small Pacific island country with a population the size of a Brazillian slum?
With the dismantling of democracy comes the entrenching of bad governance and the decline in national prosperity and peace.
I think most of us know what Grenwald means about elites dismantling democracy in Brazil from our own experience in Fiji.
Rogue rulers ( " lawmakers" ?) ruin a country and the peoples' right to live with human dignity.
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu

Editor,
Remembering History
Ukraine's Jamala won the Eurovision song competition with a political song. Yes it was a political song . And, I don't see anything wrong with that notwithstanding Eurovision's proclamation to keep things political out of the contest. How can you do that? What is not political in the real world? Eurovision's proclamation to keep politics out is itself political! It wants to put on a political ostrich act.
Jamala's political song told the story of the persecution and deportation of the Crimean Tatars by the Soviet dictator Josef Stalin in 1944. jamala's grandmother was one of them. In 2014 Jamala herself was forced to flee from Crimea after it was forcibly acquired by Russia.
Jamala said she knew if her song told the truth it would touch hearts and it did ( DW 16/5). How could it not? Many in Europe remember too well the Reign Of Terror in Europe and could relate to Jamala's song.
The past must be remembered - through whatever medium - so that we can guard against the follies of the past.
Sincerely,
Rajend Naidu
