Those shocking scenes on Capitol Hill and deranged Donald Trump and his supporters seditious attempt to overturn democracy. They learnt it from Fiji, from Sitiveni Rabuka, George Speight, and Frank Bainimarama

* Just like Donald Trump who incited his supporters to storm Capitol Hill, Rabuka, hiding under the stinking sulu of indigenous Fijian nationalism, and with the support of 10 masked soldiers, stood up in Parliament and KILLED DEMOCRACY on 14 May 1987.
* George Speight emulated him but after 56 days playing Fiji's bald-headed MUSSOLINI, cut a deal with Army Commander Frank Bainimarama, only to scream BETRAYAL, followed by the 2 November 2000 munity, which saw Bainimarama run through the cassava patch for his life, abandoning his troops to retake the army camp.
* In December 2006, Bainimarama stole POWER from SDL-FLP Multi-Party Coalition Government of Laisenia Qarase-Mahendra Chaudhry after threatening for weeks that he will seize POWER. He was facing various criminal charges
All these treasonists knew very well that a frightened population will vote for them in any new election of their choosing, and we must not forget that even George Speight had won his seat from behind the prison bars. Also, the likes of Mahendra Chaudhry might, just might, run and join the coupists. He joined Bainimarama's Interim Cabinet as Finance Minister, lending invaluable support to Bainimarama in the early, crucial days of the 2006 coup. Larry Dinger, the US Ambassador to Fiji, reported to his masters in Washington (Trump was not in power):
"Mahendra Chaudhry, former PM deposed by the 2000 coup and still head of the FLP, phoned today to let the Ambassador know he intends to accept Bainimarama's offer of the Finance, Public Enterprises, and Sugar Reform portfolios. He put it in terms of having to move Fiji forward and get back to democracy ASAP. When the Ambassador noted how disastrous the past coups had been for Fiji and for Chaudhry personally on two occasions, Chaudhry suggested this coup is different because the Qarase Government was so awful...Fiji could not have survived another five years...Interim Finance Minister Chaudhry is showing his vindictive side. Under the Interim Government, Chaudhry crony Vayeshnoi is Sports Minister and Chaudhry's son Rajendra is on the FSC [Fiji Sports Council] board."

Was Chaudhry aware that Bainimarama was facing criminal charges?
Now, with one eye to 2022 election, he cannot resist calling on Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum to step down in relation to the 1987 bombing claims. Not long ago the two were rubbing shoulders as Bainimarama's Ministers. They had even sent the poor Christopher Pryde, then the newly appointed Solicitor-General, to the Fiji Sun to demand that its publisher Russell Hunter (later deported out of Fiji over Chaudhry's tax story) publish a full page rebuttal from Aiyaz Khaiyum to an opinion column our Fijileaks publisher had written in that paper regarding the double standard the Interim Regime was employing while dealing with the tax records of the deposed Chief Justice Daniel Fatiaki and and that of Finance Minister Mahendra Chaudhry. Now, the same Pryde is painted as a villain in the Khaiyum bombing case, accused of  being biased in his recent ruling that there was insufficient evidence against Khaiyum. Russell Hunter had no choice but to publish the rebuttal, for Khaiyum and Chaudhry were KINGS in a treasonous interim regime, holding Fijians down under the barrel of the gun. It was their turn to EAT our hearts out, to punish anyone who dared to expose their treachery

The 2000 failed Speight's coup made Chaudhry into a double-digit SECRET MILLIONAIRE. Ironically, if Speight expolited his indigenous links, so did Chaudhry. He had no right to run to Haryana and cry that one of its native son's had been robbed of political power in Fiji. He should never have accepted millions from foreign Indians, solely on the basis that his ancestors originated from Haryana. He is hurting over Cyclone Yasa victims. If he is feeling their pain, why didn't he share the secret $2million with George Speight's Indo-Fijian victims? We didn't even know for eight years that he was hiding $2million in Australia.
