THE post-mortem examination results of the 18-year-old teenager who died in Police custody has been relayed to his family.

The post-mortem examination was conducted last Saturday.

But today, Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said they would not be making any further comments regarding the matter.

Deceased Vikarant Nand was taken into custody for breaching a domestic violence restraining order (DVRO) that was issued against him last Thursday.

The coup installed Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho said they would not be making any further comments regarding the matter.
Why not? Isn't the Fijian public entitled to know? Don't they have the right to know whether their protectors, the officers of the Fiji Police Force, acted within the bounds of the law in dealing with this 18 year old fellow citizen?
Is Fiji a democracy where state officials are held accountable for the manner in which they conduct themselves ?
Or, are we still in the post coup dictatorship mode but pretending to be a democracy?

Pls direct yr questions to BSI and Kai as the put the grossly under qualified Qiliho in the post of Police Commission. Remember how they pushed his name through the Constivutional Officers Commission that led to an Opposigion nominee quitting in disgust and the Oppodition boycotting sittings saying it was a set up. Qiliho is under qualified as his training is as a military officer while being Police Commissioner requires a different skill set

Condolences to the Nand Family!

How can a citizen be taken into custody and then come out DEAD. Qiliho has a lot to ANSWER. Who killed Nand ? And so does the Minister of Everything. What kind of a country have we become ?

What kind of country have we become?
Certainly not a " true democracy" !
Cry, My Beloved Country for what has become of it courtesy of the political scoundrels running it.

What did coupist Frank Bainimarama tell the people of Fiji after his unlawful takeover? He told them no military personnel will benefit from his " clean up " coup.
Qiliho, the military man, is an example of that as is Bainimarama himself and his many inner- circle military mates.
They all benefit beyond their dreams and intellectual capacity and talent.
They are a lying lot.
