WORST, Bala was driving a Lautoka City Council car when he KILLED PUNA CHAND but the Sri Lankan magistrate acquitted Bala saying NONE of the witnesses saw Bala behind the wheel. Was it a DOG at the wheels?

'WE ARE ALL EQUAL before the law': Go, tell bus checker Rabindar Singh

49-year-old Rabindar Singh has been sentenced to eight years imprisonment by the Suva High Court.

Judge Justice Salesi Temo has fixed a non-parole period of seven years.

Singh was found guilty of manslaughter by the three assessors and the judge concurred with them.

On the 6th of May, 2014 Singh drove a Dee Cee’s Bus at the Suva Bus Stand knowing that the bus had mechanical problems.

Singh was employed as a checker for Dee Cees bus company at the time of the incident.

The bus hit the back of a Nasese bus resulting in the bus hitting 46-year-old Seruwaia Rokosere and 3-year-old Paulini Tubuna.

They both died on the same day.

While sentencing Singh, Justice Temo said the Suva Bus Stand is always full of commuters and told Singh that he knew the bus had broken down but drove it carelessly.

Justice Temo says he has shown utter disregard to the deceased lives and this sentence is to punish him, and to protect the public from reckless vehicle drivers. Source: Fijivillage News, 25 July 2016

Killer Bala’s is a very unique case where the accused, the prosecution and the Judge are clearly in the same canoe, in cahoots peddling in a sync - against the tide of JUSTICE.

What Killer Bala’s case exhibits also (beyond any reasonable doubt) is that the Judiciary not independent of Fiji’s Minister of Justice. There are systematic appointments of Judges who the Minister of Justice regularly and at will manipulates.

Killer Bala’s case has cleared Killer Bala for the 2018 Elections.

Once again, our deepest sympathies to the Chand family.

If Ba wala Bala was not behind the wheels than why was he locked up in cell at Ltk Police Station?

Records changed in these three years and so did witnesses statements.

Strange world

Rawana magistrate says Parveen Kumar Bala did not killed Puna Chand by dangerous driving and the Fijian magistrate says Rabindar Singh killed pedestrian by dangerous driving.

Double standards at its very worst where you charge a commoner for wreckless driving but not a politician because of the nepotism thats common in the regime.

Talk about being a lucky bastard with self-imposed immunity on your side alongside the cronies and the two ever-popular ring leaders in Frankie and Khaiyum.
