I wonder if the same Fiji Movement for Democracy in Fiji will advise the political parties to boycott the election to be held under the very Constitution, a copy which they burned in Australia. Just look at the arsonists - Suli, Jone, Rajendra - all losers hiding in Australia. Long live the 2013 Constitution of Fiji

Very sad day for the i taukei to accept this constitution. The result of this is already been evident in the distribution of sholarship since we are all called Fijian and there is no Indian, Fijian & others.

The post 1987 era is still vividly clear to everybody where a particular race had dominated all scholarship, higher paid jobs, leadership position in government ministries and indigenous Fijians had been alienated in their own land.

The best constitution was the 1997 one and this had all races equally represented according to their number in the population and funds distributed for development of each ethnic groups.

With everybody equal and one, it is a recipe for chaos in future.

Bravo FDFM Auss guys. Political /Church/GCC leaders and fijian people should burn BKC in Albert Park. Let Bai/Khaiyum see it .
BKC is illegal anyway.

The 1997 constitution was good except that it did not rid out corrupt practices and the elite of fiji who seemed to have taken over everything that had mattered to true democracy.Frank has done a grat job in treating all as equal,in fact everyone is equal in the eyes of God

The 1997 Constitution did not rid corruption because politicians did not adopt to the constitution. They just did not follow it.

They are all the same.

constitutions do not get rid of corruption...they only create corruption. the bkc is one of those...all powers concentrated on two people..the AG and the PM...the blue print of more of the same that is Fiji now...good luck to you guys.

The 1997 Constitution is a legal document and only need revision to include corruption legislation. Everyone is equal in the eyes of God but there are different ethnicity involved which cannot be taken away and they have different culture too.
The I taukei has got only Fiji as their homeland whereas other ethnic groups had their motherland plus Fiji which you cannot say is equal.

It can be challenged in the court of law and we had 2 court of appeal decision in favour of the 1997 constitution and that is the bench mark.

You cannot be praising a constitution which had never been on its maiden voyage. it may be similar to the Titanic.

Every dog has its day and one day mafatu. the barrel of the gun is ruling now but not forever....so when there is no ammunition, it can be shoved up your ass Canada.

Mack, no problem with that but this constitution is a good recipe for trouble and mark my words for it. It wont last for the next twenty (20) years.

It is a dangerous documents and it has a lot of fuel for fire.

For those of you talking about corruption here, “man” is a sinner, and where man exists, so do sin and corruption. Therefore the question must be, how do we manage corruption.
We know how to do this and the reason why Management schools mushroomed worldwide through University Chairs, Departments and training programs to include subjects like Leadership, freedom, constitutional democracy, rule of law, human rights, empowerment, motivation, organizational behavior, research design and methodology, business economics, risk benefit management, added value, cultural literacy, communication, identity, diversity, information communication technology (ICT), Internet, capital, social, technical, moral, spiritual and political markets, market differentiation, strategic marketing, consumer behavior, innovation, change, reform, entrepreneurship, new economic order and so on. In other words we have to change our thinking.
To understand this new world order/view, Indigenous Fijians found words in the vernacular to describe the above concepts such as gauna vou (new thinking), yavu vou (new foundation), rai vou (new insights), buli vou (creation and innovation); vakaturaga, vei dokai, (trust, respect, positive relationships, service delivery, professionalism), Ravuru 1983, 1985, 1995, 2005; veivakaliuci (trust, communication, consensus and reciprocity for service delivery), Qalo 1997; yalomatua, (maturity, emotional intelligence and authentic leadership style Naboro-Baba, 2006.
Indeed, for a collectivist community, the itaukei has much to offer processes in the entrepreneurial business model, in order to add value, grow, reform and change supported by 21 century information communication technology (ICT) and capital markets in company share markets, that is in paper form for propriety rights appropriate respective market needs and aspirations.
In both the big and the small pictures, these itaukei strengths are relevant to participate and contribute to the development of Fiji that can be accounted through good governance.
If itaukei, can make it to the top, in World Class Rugby 7s, we can make it to the top in any sector that we put our minds too.
So the question is why do you on this blog, you know who you are by your comments above, continue to discriminate against the itaukei, that we cannot run successful business, we are not mature in the ways of business, we are corrupt, racist, back ward and more importantly from that bias, support the taking of our land without our consent through the Land Use Decree of 2010. It is force, force and force, which is intangible bigotry.
The downright arrogance, where race, a variable in the science of market differentiation, is confused with racism, through ignorance, greed and the abuse of power by VB, ASK, ‘President’ Epeli N and their band of thieves, manipulate the democratic system and use the separation of powers designed to serve the people, now integrated in their Constitution 2013, to serve them and their small, sick minds.

We have patience with what is happening now as we are a law abiding citizens and we had learned from 1987 & 2000 but some people are does not have peace of mind now because of their dirty linen.

They will want to cling to power no matter what....hook or by crook my friend.

We retaliate peacefully but was met with resistance from the barrel of the gun and decree (Dictatorship).

Dictatorship will face court one day Canada...we do it the legal way.

They are arsonists and should be prosecuted if they ever return to Fiji.
Days for such people are over in FIJI. Real accountability and democracy has arrived in FIJI. Corrupt people are no longer needed .
