OUR VERDICT ON BLAST FROM PAST: AIYAZ KHAIYUM "masterminded 1987 bombing campaigns" and fled to Australia. Two of his accomplices are now top Fijian DIPLOMATS Overseas. He should have stepped aside

8/1/2021

"In 1987, there were 3 rounds of reshuffling the suspects & still the same Khaiyum was identified by Veronica (for the Vesi St bombing) & by the brother (for the MHCC bombing of the mother-Mrs Fane Ralogaivau) at the Totogo Police Station....The head of the 1987 bomb investigation, Moses Driver, correctly named the suspect as Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum when the 2 siblings consistently pointed at him during the 3 reshuffle rounds of ID parade.."
The Malani Family, responding to the DDP's decision not to proceed with case

An outlaw in the Attorney-General's Office who thinks he is above the law. We call on the acting Police Commissioner to re-open 'Khaiyum File'

Uummm- Memory loss about 1987 bombings

We do not know if Khaiyum bombed the Malanis but we allege that HE assembled the bombs and directed the BOMBERS, and that is the sole reason why we had called on him to step aside for a free and fair investigation, and for accomplices from 1987 to come forward without fear of him or his privately armed MUSLIM MILITIA. His second in command fled to Canada and later settled in Australia. We call on Chaudhry (and a relative) to go to POLICE and tell what they know about the 1987 bombings.

We have argued from day one that the reason Khaiyum is not on the 1988 IMMUNITY LIST is because the moment those implicated in the bombings appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court, the mastermind and his second in command got into a car and drove to Nadi airport. The same day one fled to Australia and the other to Canada. Since Frank Bainimarama's 2006 coup, Khaiyum is behaving like he owns Fiji, and even FFP Donors claim they were forced to donate millions. According to Fiji Police sources, Khaiyum in his statement, claimed that he has NO RECOLLECTION about the 1987 events, and didn't understand why he was being politely requested by POLICE to provide a written statement in the Malani bombing case. We remind him, WHY! He should have been arrested (like many OTHERS) and interviewed under Police Caution.
Most importantly, he does not have IMMUNITY regarding 1987 Bombings. And we condemn the supine Fiji Law Society for not SPEAKING OUT. What about the racist coupist Sitiveni Rabuka who triggered it all? The violent thug - now wanting to come back with a new political party - should tell us what he knew about the 1987 bombings. Even Frank Bainimarama is privy to the events, for as a young naval officer, he was drafted in by Rabuka to beep up security after the bombings. We can't have two laws - one for GEORGE SPEIGHT and another for Fiji's Attorney-General and Minister for Justice AIYAZ SAYED KHAIYUM

FLP Leader Mahendra Chaudhry and DPP exchange war of words over the dropping of the Police Investigation in the Malani bombing case.
DPP Pryde says the decision to not lay any charges on Sayed-Khaiyum was based solely on whether there was sufficient evidence for a reasonable prospect of conviction

COME SUN, RAIN, OR CYCLONE YASA:
Wasting Taxpayers Money by constantly having armed BODYGUARDS, as this one guarding Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum up North after YASA. He was also made to double up as Khaiyum's "wheel barrow boy"
