World Rugby tells FRU: No freebee tickets for Frank Bainimarama, the President of FRU; he says he is not going, for 'we need to fund raise for the team'; whatever happened to the Vodafone's $40m sponsorship?

Fijileaks to FRU president Frank Bainimarama:

1) Why Do the People Of Fiji still need to fundraise for the national 15s team to the Rugby World Cup, when the Vodafone sponsorship of the FRU is worth $8 a year, $40m over five years?

2) Or is the truth of the matter contained in the June 12 2015 letter to Vodafone in which FRU accuses the FNPF-owned mobile company of ‘at best misleading, at worst fraudulent’ behaviour?

3) Is this alleged misleading or fraudulent behaviour by Vodafone why the country’s citizens are still being pressed to fundraise for the Fiji team using You Tube begging clips from 15s coach John Mckee and 7s coach Ben Ryan?

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama who is also the President of the Fiji Rugby Union is unlikely to attend the World Cup in London England.

World Rugby has informed the Fiji Rugby Union that there aren’t enough funds to pay for Bainimarama’s attendance.

He says his inability to watch the game in London is nothing compared to what it means to the country to have the Flying Fijians take on the big names.

“It’s a team to be reckoned with. We have a wonderful team which has matured over the last few world cups. We have good management and training cadre. People of Fiji need to get together and tell our team that we’re behind them and we want 80 minutes rugby.”

The Fiji Rugby Union offered to pay for Bainimarama’s trip to the World Cup as FRU President.

However this was turned down by the PM who says we still need to fundraiser for the team itself. Source: FBC News

If the Dictator of Fiji is not going to the World Cup Rugby it's only because he is not getting free tickets . This fala who said no military personnel will benefit from his " clean up " coup is now so accustomed to getting things for free. Don't be surprised if one of his rich business mates offers to pay for his trip.

The Prime Minister did the right thing to decline FRU offer to pay for him to travel to London to see our team play in the Rugby World Cup games. Now he should consider saving money by cutting back the expenditure by the Attorney General on personal bodyguards ( 6 is just simply ridiculous,) and put the money saved towards the costs incurred by our team.

It's the same old pattern of play in the " new " Fiji of Bainimarama and Khaiyum's fanciful imagination. Big business make grand announcements about how much financial support they are giving to this or that sports to buy political influence when in reality the actual financial support is a fraction of the publicly stated amount.
Remember Ballu Khan and his millions of dollars for rugby development? Remember the soccer develment support offered by a company with a vested interest - then giving cheap hand sewn soccer balls made by child labour in Pakistan?

So Frank Bainimarama is the president of FRU. He is also Hon. prime minister . So just how many and what titles have this coupster given himself since grabbing power in 2006?
I mean considering that he told the people of Fiji that no military personnel will benefit from his coup?

Why should the President of the Fiji Rugby Union go to the world cup at the expense of the Fiji Rugby Union or the world body for that matter? Particularly when the FRU are struggling with the cost of sending the team. Unless, he goes to perform an important task - like being the water boy when the team plays.

The riposte to 'know your place' is: "Remember when you came"!
Do we fully understand this? The battle lines are drawn and not one of these protagonists would know from personal experience what 80 minutes rugby requires. It is commitment, Body and Soul, to the most demanding task outside full scale War. This failure of full comprehension and appreciation may prove fatal.

What the fish are these lowlifes calling for Christian state and planning an unchristian act up to. Become humans first and then talk about Christanity. My political lecturer at USQ once taught me that current world problems are due to misguided fools who believed in man-made religion rather then God, all types of races other than the human race and greed based patriotism rather than freedom based patriotism. Some who have ignited the fire are barking aloud from far away as usual and will be unharmed from the fire that they have lit. The scapegoats will be again some ordinary fools who will be used like toilet paper and discarded at some swearage plant.
